California Cricket: Player auction for NCCA-T20 event

Six teams in the tournament will be participating in the auction on August 21, 2012 to pick the best fourteen among over 200 players who had signed up online.

The IPL Style USACA approved NCCA-T20 2012 Edition has reached its “Auction Day”.   Speaking ahead of the auction, the NCCA-T20 2012 Commissioner and President of NCCA, Sunil Kumar said: “Six teams in the tournament will be participating in the auction on August 21, 2012 to pick the best fourteen among over 200 players who had signed up online."

The six teams with their owners and Icon players are listed below:

Blasters - Team Owners: Deval Patel & Ayan Banerjee;  Icons: Sunny Singh, Krishna Prasad, Imran Khan, Arshi Jammu

Cloudalyze Spinners - Team Owner: Vaibhav Mankame;  Icons: Shiva Vashishat, Saqib Saleem, Naseer Jamali, Muhammed Saleem Mustafa

CSZ Titans - Team Owner: Mukul Kumar;  Icons:  Mukul Kumar, Sujesh Pulikkal, Anwar Ahmed, Sheryar Khan

Fooglies - Team Owner: Arjun Thyagarajan;  Icons: Arjun Thyagarajan, Shantanu Divekar, Ritesh Kadu, Syed Fareed Ahmed

TVU Networks (Sponsor NCCA-T20) will be streaming the auction live from 7 pm pacific time to the end of the event which is expected to run over 4 hours.

The Auction Nite will be held at Dosa N’ Biriyani (DB), Sunnyvale, CA.  DB are also the official sponsors and caterers for this event and for the tournament.  The partners at DB have taken their love for cricket and their support for it to the next level by renaming their bar to “The Pavilion”.

Sunil Kumar, was highly upbeat about the NCCA-T20 2012 Auction Nite and was confident that this event which will see some of the best names in the cricketing circuit across the country being auctioned live, albeit through virtual dollars, will be among the best.

“The auction nite is a big phase of this tournament, the phase when the team owners slug it out in the middle to get the best bet for their money. Top quality players will be on high demand and will fetch maximum it is expected”. It is all about preparation, strategy and planning prior to the auction and having your plans and counter plans ready to take the situation head on, said Sunil Kumar.
