Robin Singh, who played one Test and 136 ODIs for India, was an effective lower-middle order batsman, a medium pace bowler and an outstanding fielder.  Singh is the current coach for the IPL's Mumbai Indians franchise and also coached USA U-19 in the recently concluded ICC Americas U-19 Tournament.

Forty kids from Virginia and surrounding areas attended the camp which was held at the Lake Fairfax Park in Reston, Virginia on Monday.  Tuesday's and Wednesday's sessions were held at the Soccerplex in Boyds, Maryland.   According to Shoaib Ahmed, league's president, Singh is very impressed with the level of talent.  "Some of the younger players have impressed him very much," Ahmed wrote on the league's Facebook page.

The WCL/Robin Singh camp is ongoing and more details can be found on WCL's Facebook page.

Washington Cricket League has run a successful youth program for over two years and, according to its website, the league has four certified coaches.  For more information on the youth league and the year-round program, please visit the website for the youth program.
