Message from new ACA Chairman to all Teams

Dear ACA Members,
First of all I would like to thank all of the members of the outgoing ExeCom members, Mahesh Naik, Nikhil Jadhav, Anil Cheruvu, Anup Menghal and Naveed Afzal for all of their hard work and dedication to Arizona Cricket Association over the past few years.  They made some great strides and survived numerous storms and issues along the way yet ensured that ACA continued to prosper under their guidance.
Secondly, my apologies for the delay in getting this email out to you.  However the newly elected Executive team has been meeting on a weekly basis to get aligned and ready for our upcoming AGM on Sunday July 28st, 2013 from 10-2pm at India Gate in Chandler.    We are still in the process of working through the AGM agenda and will get it out by Wednesday, July 17th.   The new ExeCom is very excited and enthusiastic about the upcoming season.  We are hoping to continue and improve in multiple areas to ensure the growth, visibility and improved quality of Cricket in Arizona.  However as you are aware we cannot do this on our own.  We need the help and support of all ACA playing members to achieve our goal. We would like to encourage participation in the various positions as well as partnering with the ExeCom on any and all endeavors to promote the game of Cricket in Arizona.  This may include but not limited to exhibition matches, promotional events, charitable events, tournaments, tours, kids and adult Cricket clinics, etc.  I would also welcome and be happy to listen to any and all viable suggestions and ideas on how we can grow and promote the game of Cricket in Arizona.
The new ExeCom is working on the transition of quite a few ACA business items from the outgoing team and would plan to have it fully transitioned from the previous administration by the end of July.  The financials being of the top most priorities and just waiting on the outgoing Chair and Treasurer to provide the final closing financial details.  The new administration will have the finances audited for the past 2 years to ensure that we are taking it over in good health and standing and have made specific document requirements from them to help with the audit.  Once we have this completed we will have a better idea of what the club dues will be for the upcoming season.
As we start the new season we also have vacancies in some key positions which need to be filled. Therefore please forward the list of open positions and their respective requirements to your club members.  The positions and when we need to have the nominations are listed below.  The ACA Umpiring Coordinator position is for 1 year while the AZ Scorpion Team Manager and Team Coach positions may be for multiple years but has not yet been determined by the ACA Executive Committee. We may have some additional positions which we will be communicating out in the upcoming few weeks.

Teams for 2013 – 2014                                 Need to have confirmation with $100 from each team which will be participating in ACA’s regular season.
