Mendis got rare praise from somebody who has accused both Harbhajan and Muthiah of chucking.

"It feels great to see a bowler like Ajantha emerging from the sub-continent. He has a fresh approach towards his art and maintains a clean action,"  Bishen Singh Bedi said.

Note his emphasis on "clean action."

Bedi loves having his say, doesn't he? I guess he is one of the last guys to still insist on making judgments about actions with his own eyes, not "science."

Not that the scientists help their own case. Hawkeye is now used fully in tennis, via a players' appeals process, but the accuracy is apparently +- 6 millimetres! I've already seen many line decisions overturned on the basis of the ball simulated as just grazing a line by a millimetre.
