Monty fight on and the holy urn
The dialogue went something like this in the England dressing room at Cardiff on Sunday evening.
Bottom 6: We were in the nick of time. You were in great peril.
Top 5: I don't think I was.
Bottom 6: Yes, you were. You were in terrible peril.
Top 5: Look, let me go back in there and face the peril.
Bottom 6: No, it's too perilous.
Top 5: Look, it's my duty as a Batter to sample as much peril as I can.
Bottom 6: No, we've got to find the Holy Urn. Come on.
Top 5: Oh, let me have just a little bit of peril?
Bottom 6: No. It's unhealthy.
Top 5: I bet you're gay.
Bottom 6: Am not.
One has taken the liberty of putting Paul Collingwood in the bottom 6. But this is how England's batting card can be described for the Cardiff test.
