Former T&T women’s footballer Nadia Gruny is now making a name
for herself playing cricket for the United States women’s cricket
team.
Tobago-born Nadia Gruny, who turns 27 on April 23,
was part of the T&T Under-17 women’s team in 2001, before moving to the US on a football
scholarship. She finished her Bachelor of Science in Marketing at South Carolina
State University and has a Masters in Sports Business Management from the University of Central Florida.
Gruny was part of the team which
defeated Canada and she is looking forward to the Women’s Global World Cup
qualifiers in Bangladesh set for November.
