This is a good group of players yes but there are alot more that were not selected...and again three days is a short time to pick a u19 team but they did it well..i cant complain..these guys are good....but dont forget about those who didnt make it becuase they werent in form...because another day, another they might shine.

2:43 PM: Vashishat gone LBW Qadir for 3!  USA in trouble.  USA 33-3 after 9 overs.  Corns hanging in there with 5.  Need a partnership at this stage.  Runs will come if they hang in there.   Qadir 1-0-1-1.

Sean: Corns dived to catch a ball while fielding during the game and injured himself.   During lunch, there was some discussion on whether he should use a runner.  Need a heroic inning from him at this stage.

Texted Peter about the injury.  Hoping to get more info.

    Meanwhile,

2:55 PM: USA 43-3 after 11.  Corns 12. Sewdial 1. Aulakh is doing a ton of sledging and a few missiles yet again in that over.  5-0-24-2.

2:59 PM:  Patel gets Corns in his first ball.   TROUBLE for USA.  45 for 4.

Hopefully his injury isn't too bad - he has a game to play in London next week against the Lord's Taveners!  :p

If the worst happens and we lose today, the Canda loses tomorrow - what would be the decider for top 2? NRR?

3:00 PM: 46 for 4 after 12 overs.  Patel 1-0-1-1.  Ghouse is new batsman in with Sewdial.  In the 13th over...after bowling just 1 ball, Qadir injured his ankle and is coming off the field.   2.1-0-3-1.  So much drama.  So much intensity!

NRR is what I would think.   Let me see if I can find rules.

This would be a good time to send in Salman Ahmad. His batting style would suit the current situation very well as he is an avid defender and can also rotate the strike...He is usually unphased by pressure....

NRR it is according to those on the ground.   Corns injury was in left thigh.  Used Azurdeen as runner.

I'd say head's down and bat out the overs  either win or get as close as possible.

3:13 PM: 5 wides in that 14th over.  With Qadir off, sledging has died down as well.  58 for 4 USA after 14 overs.   Drinks now.  Anyway, what USA needs now is some rebuilding and consolidation.  Some level headed playing.   No need to worry about the sledging.  Qadir was chief instigator of the sledging.   Get on with the game.

opening bat could you let them know that 142 runs of probably 200 balls is not hard....they should calm down and pace themselves..get the concentration going.....greg should start picking the strike because he has the ability to destroy any team and turn the game around...
