3:45 PM:  Two maidens in a row.  One each to Pathan and Patel.  Burton 0, Sewdial 25.  Interesting statistic - Sewdial's 25 had 3 fours and 1 six.  Uncharacterstic maidens considering that statistic.  But Sewdial has a big responsibility now.   USA remain 86-5 after 23 overs.

Make that three maidens in a row!  86-5 after 24 overs!   Tense or what!?

this is where you are tested as a player...i know greg can do it....he just needs to pick the strike as the most experienced batsman......the team has to keep the messages going out there to him ..so he keeps his kool...becuase i know him he like to blast his way out of pressure

I'm not sure if  Naseer got picked for the NW regional Mens team .Seattle / NWCL have beaten the NCCA in 2008 and 2009 to be champs back to back for the NW region  Title traveling to California both times,   but its still hard for us to get a descent quata in the regional team ?  No sour grapes just more motivation to beat NCCA yet  again in 2010 !

3:56 PM:  Runs trickling in 1s and 2s.  That is fine. We will take that.  Fireworks can wait until after the match.

USA are 94-5 after 27 overs.  Burton 5.  Sewdial 28.

Right now Usa lacks one thing

PACEEEEEE...the bowlers i have faced in jamaica at the uner 19 level bowl like 81 80..US bowlers arnt that qiuck but they have the swing..we need to develop that in our cricket cause as you can see so far ...we have a bag of spinners that can turn the ball east and west and all around the world.

Watching  Brighton Watamba running in on matting in Florida at 80 miles plus  an hour and saying why do i even bother trying to bowl pace  .... The matting and run ups we play on do pace bowling no justice.

Re: ICC Americas U-19: USA vs Canada

I believe that Hammad Shahid is one such 85+ mph PACE bowler. He is quite consistent with his pace and bounce. He consistently troubles well known batsmen here at the SCCA 1st Division. Unfortunately he was left out the USA U19 team. He is 6' 5" and at 17 years of age still growing....

yes true ...but we need it for the international stage and the batsmen's practice too..becuase you cannot learn to bear hot water by only experienceing warm water.

ct opener he plays for SCCA U-19, SCCA Senior team, Vijaytha 1st Division and is in the US Senior reserves. You should see him bowl...he is good, smooth run-up and a very high arm action...swings it both ways quite well too.
