For the first time on tour it's a crisp and very clear morning in Kuala Lumpur. Peter Della Penna here at the Kinrara Academy Oval where USA is set to take on Tanzania. USA needs to not only win this game, but do it by a very heavy margin to improve their net run rate in a bid to chase down Nepal and Denmark later in the tournament on the net run rate tiebreaker. It would be shocking to see Tanzania score more than 125 runs if they bat first. If USA bats first, 350 should be the bare minimum they post. USA is behind the 8-ball now after losing to Denmark on Tuesday and can't afford another slip up in this event. Tanzania looks to be one of the teams in danger of relegation after losing their first two matches to Denmark and Nepal by 88 runs and 8 wickets respectively. Both teams are warming up now on the field. Toss to come in 10 minutes.

 USA has won the toss and elected to field first. They want to get in and out of here quickly. Even though it's bright and sunny now, they do not want to take any chances with weather problems later on after what happened on Tuesday against Denmark.

Sushil Nadkarni is being rested today. Two years ago at Division Four when USA beat Tanzania by 10 wickets, Nadkarni blasted 68 not out in 31 balls as USA chased 128 in 12.4 overs. Andy Mohammed comes in for Nadkarni while Dodson and Corns remain on the bench.

 Don't be surprised if this game gets over before lunch. Tanzania was bowled out for 82 by Nepal on Tuesday. USA's bowling attack is strong enough to better that. Two years ago USA had Tanzania 63 for 8 in Italy before some slogging by number nine Kassim Nassoro, who made 49 not out in 37 balls, took Tanzania to 128. Muhammad Ghous took 4 for 15 in 10 overs that day.

Mishra, Allen and Massiah from first to third. Dot, full outside off, closer to the stumps this time, goes to drive and misses again. Three slips and a gully in for Hutchinson. Mishra at first, Allen at second, Baker at third slip, Massiah in the gully. Dot, full and wide, left alone. Shuja is the only man out of the ring, at long leg. Dot, full outside off, goes to defend and pulls the bat back late. EDGE! FOUR! Full and wide, throws the bat at it, slices a thick edge over Baker at third slip, who leaped high but it just clears him by about two feet.  Shuja to Mapunda. Dot, short of a length ball outside off, Mapunda dangles the bat at it and misses. Dot, full and very wide, Mapunda goes to drive and misses badly, lucky it wasn't called a wide. Abdul comes down to have a word with Mapunda now. Mohammed now moves from point to gully and Thyagarajan comes off the third man rope and into the circle at point. EDGE! FOUR! Full and wide, slices an edge between Massiah at third slip and Mohammed at gully. Thyagarajan now goes back to the third man rope and Mohammed shifts back to point after just one ball. Dot, full and straight, inside edged onto the pads and Hutchinson fields. Two, full on the stumps, squeezes the ball out behind point and Mohammed gives chase, stopping it just inside the rope, not a convincing shot though. FOUR! Full outside off, Mussa drives and the ball flies off the bat along the ground through the covers, very nice shot that for Mussa to get off the mark. Dot, good length ball, Mussa is beaten with a flat footed dangled bat defense. DROPPED! Short and wide, goes to cut and sends it straight to Allen at gully, he reaches out to his left at chest height and it bursts through his hands, should have been taken.
