New Zealand 157 for one at tea
CHRISTCHURCH, New Zealand, March 15 (AFP) - New Zealand were building a solid base on the first day of the second cricket Test against Pakistan and were 157 for one at tea here Thursday.
Pakistan won the toss and elected to bowl in conditions initially gloomy but which lightened considerably.
New Zealand's only casualty was Mark Richardson, trapped by Saqlain Mushtaq for 46.
Not out batsmen were Matthew Bell on 75 and Mathew Sinclair on 21.
Mushtaq was the only successful bowler with one wicket for 21 runs.
