Bradman's ashes to be sprinkled in boyhood hometown
SYDNEY, March 28 (AFP) - The ashes of cricket legend Sir Donald Bradman will be scattered in his boyhood hometown of Bowral, south of
Sydney, the Bradman Foundation said Wednesday.
Foundation director Richard Mulvaney said at a thanksgiving service at Bowral Oval that the scattering of The Don's ashes would take place in
private but details would be announced publicly later.
Bradman's son John asked that there be no media speculation about where his father's ashes would be scattered.
Bradman died at his Adelaide home on February 25, aged 92.
