American Cricket Federation (ACF) continues to receive an outpouring of support from leagues and organizations from across the country. Southern Connecticut Cricket Association (SCtCA) became the eleventh league to formally express support to the ACF and its guiding principles.
SCtCA is the largest cricket league in southern New England with 14 clubs serving cities like Stamford, New Haven, West Haven, Bridgeport, Norwalk, Greenwich and Danbury. Several large leagues in the region including Commonwealth Cricket League of New York (78 clubs), Eastern American Cricket Association (16 clubs) and Cricket League of New Jersey (44 clubs) have already come forth with their letters of support.
In their letters of support, the eleven signatory leagues expressed their willingness to work with the ACF in building an organization that is accountable to all cricket stakeholders and capable of growing the sport by attracting more players, clubs, leagues, fans and investors. Other leagues are expected to express their support in the coming days.
Leagues across USA are eagerly awaiting details of the ACF constitution. The ACF Constitution sub-committee is working hard at drafting the cornerstone document and is confident that ACF’s guiding principles are fully reflected in it. The draft constitution will soon be circulated to the signatory leagues and organizations with a view to invite their inputs and comments.
Once the ACF constitution is ratified and a membership structure is in place, the signatory leagues and organizations are expected to join as founding members.
