Update: Taylor took a wicket bowling off-spin with his very first delivery of the first match on Saturday, getting Imran Nazir caught at deep midwicket. Five balls later, he should have had Shahid Afridi caught on the boundary as well but Jermaine Lawson grassed one of three chances that came his way.
The International World XI needed 223 to win in 20 overs. Taylor joined Afghanistan's Mohammad Shahzad at the end of the first over after the dismissal of Sanath Jayasuriya. The American made 15 off 15 balls including three boundaries, all struck through the off side, before he was out caught at midwicket attempting to pull Pakistan fast bowler Wahab Riaz. Taylor's 15 was the third highest score for a batsman in the International World XI innings. South African Loots Bosman made 27 not out off 16 balls and Shapoor Zadran of Afghanistan top scored with 42 off 51 balls.
Live video of the second match can be found on Geo Super's YouTube page. The match is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. local time, 11 a.m. on Sunday in the USA.
