Michigan Cricket: 2013 Diversity Cup on June 22-23.

Michigan's Diversity Cup 2013, will be held on June 22 and 23, 2013.  This is the eighth edition of the tournament.   

The tournament has historically attracted top talent and past participants have included Mohammad Azharuddin, Shoaib Mohammed, Rizwan Uz-Zaman and Rangana Herath.  Guests of honor have included Javed Miandad and Asif Iqbal.  This year, the tournament will feature Imran Nazir, Kamran Akmal and Hammad Azam.

The event began with just four teams in 2006 - Canada Maple Leaf, India Blues, Pakistan Greens and USA Stars. This year, the tournament will see the participation of eight teams.  Group A features Asia XI Royal Kings, India Blues, Bangladesh Tigers and Pakistan Greens.  Group B features World XI Lions, West Indies Masters, USA Stars and Sri Lanka Lions. 

The tournament will be played at four venues including Bloomer Park in Rocherster Hills (MI); Hartland in Howell (MI) and Lyon Oaks Park in Wixom (MI).  Global Sports, the tournament's organizer, has also planned some fun activities for kids and families.

The final will be played at the Bloomer Park on June 23, 2013 at 3PM.
