In the T20 game against South Hampstead CC, CCA won the toss and elected to field.  The opponents brought some boys who were over 17 years old, so this match was an even contest between bat and ball. Wickets fell at regular intervals, some catches were missed and South Hampstead reached a competitive score of 145.

For the hosts, the older boys were able to generate some serious pace and Jamal Ahmed was especially effective.  Mohak Buch (pictured right) played some absolutely breathtaking shots: one straight six being a real standout.  The remaining boys struggled against the pace and movement and wickets fell at regular intervals.  Jamal Ahmed accounted for 6 for 23.

An adventurous last wicket stand (the highest of the innings) between Aravind Patnam and Gaurav Patanker took the chase to a respectable 116.

South Hampstead Cricket Club 146-8 (20 overs), CCA U-17 116-9 (Jamal Ahmed 6-23)

In the final match, a forty over encounter with South Hampstead CC, CCA lost the toss and were asked to field.  Anirudh Srinivas was able to generate enough swing to breach the defenses of the openers.  The middle order anchored the innings for South Hampstead who put up 236 in their 40 overs.  The run rate, which inched towards 6 was prevented from going over that number due to effective bowling by Gaurav Patanker at the death.

Neil Tagare and Yadunandan Polisetty stuck together and their partnership solidified the chase.  After Yadunandan got out, Vibhav Altekar came and continued with positive intent.   But just as Vibhav also appeared to be settling down, he edged one to the keeper.  After Rohan Khasgiwala and Mihir Athavale fell in quick succession, Neil Tagare got run out for a very well compiled 59.

Akhil Ghirnikar hit a few good shots which found the ropes but it was too little, too late and CCA ended on 191 in the 39th over.

South Hampstead Cricket Club 236-7 (40 overs), CCA U-17 191.
