USACA Media Release
The United States Cricket Association (USACA) Board met over the weekend in Austin, Texas. As part of its regular meeting, the USACA Board received the findings of an independent review into the governance of US cricket undertaken by TSE Consulting. The consulting company was appointed by USACA in March 2013 as a result of an open tender process for professional services to conduct a governance review.
USACA appointed TSE Consulting to assist its efforts to create a governance structure that supports and enables the growth and development of cricket in the United States, including high level performance in international competition. USACA’s goal is to achieve a high level of organizational and competitive excellence and appointed TSE Consulting to help in the pursuit of these core objectives.
The report findings were presented to the USACA Board by Mr. Dale Neuburger Director of TSE North America and Mr. Neelay Bhatt, Vice President – Planning and Facilities from PROS Consulting Inc. The report is currently under consideration by the USACA Board.
USACA Governance Committee Chair Mr. Brian Walters welcomed the initial findings; “The preliminary Governance Review Report presented by TSE Consulting on Saturday in Austin will assist USACA to identify the areas where US cricket stakeholders believe excellence in cricket administration can be achieved. Our hope is that the findings will allow us to commence a dialogue with all stakeholders in our great game and to work together in the months ahead to outline a governance structure that will ensure that cricket becomes a sport for all Americans” he said.
USACA Regional representatives will commence dialogue with their constituents from next week. The final Governance Review Report will be publicly released in September and will include the following elements:
• An analysis of current governance circumstances;
• A sequenced and prioritized listing of proposed recommendations for improvement;
• A realistic and appropriate implementation schedule with adequate resource allocation
