DreamCricket.com is wrapping up the year in United States Cricket by recognizing USA’s standout performers at the international level.   The 31-year-old medium pacer stepped up admirably to help guide a raw bowling unit and was arguably USA’s most consistent contributor with the ball over the course of 2013.

Hutchinson was never USA’s leading wicket-taker at any of the ICC tournaments USA participated in over the course of 2013. Those distinctions belonged to Ryan Corns, Neil McGarrell and Danial Ahmed in USA’s routinely spin-heavy attack. With pace bowling options growing thin in the last 12 months, Hutchinson stepped up admirably and finished second overall in wickets for USA on the year with 17 in 16 matches.

The left-arm quick was USA’s leading fast bowler at the ICC World Cricket League Division Three tournament in Bermuda, taking 10 wickets at an average of 17.20.

In Twenty20 cricket, Hutchinson claimed seven more wickets at an average of 28.00. Once again, Hutchinson was another player who demonstrated the value of getting routine playing time on turf wickets which he uses on a weekly basis at Woodley Park in California. His ability to quickly size up the proper length to bowl on differing turf wickets in international play is just one of many reasons for his dependability in national team colors.

Despite being 31, Hutchinson only made his USA debut in 2012 and so still has plenty of overs left to contribute for the red, white and blue. He is anticipated to be a reliable contributor for the next several years in the men’s national team.

New Inning Foundation and DreamCricket.com congratulate Steven Taylor on his achievement. In recognition of his achievement, Hutchinson will receive a plaque as well as a $200 DreamCricket.com Pavilion Shop gift certificate sponsored by New Inning Foundation.
