Surprising Kiwis put a scare into Aussies as the 1st test comes to an exciting draw!!
scorecard - Match 1
Trading Tip - November 3, 2001
1st Trading Period
since this involves only 2 teams, the choice of allocation becomes easier for our captains. The obvious choice should be trading for a combination of players from Austrlia and/or New Zealand, as players from other teams will
NOT, and I repeat will not get a chance to increase their values/earnings.
While the 2nd trading period presents us with an interesting scenario. While there are 3 matches to be played, India-South Africa, plays two of them, thus presenting an opportunity for the players to better their earning potential. i.e. they play 1 extra match as opposed to SL-WI players. Would you rather have Sachin or Gibbs bat potentially 4 times (2 test/2 innings) or have Lara or Mahela have the opportunity to bat only twice (1 test/2 innings)? Fortunately, you as the captain will get to make that decision.
The 3d trading period is relatively less complex, as 4 teams are involved in a 2 match period, where each player involved, gets the same equal opportunity to increase their values.
happy trading!
