Surging Zimbabweans reward Investors with healthy gains, despite match outcome.
As expected, Australian blue chips performed to expectations, led by Ponting, gaining 44% to push his earnings to $487, while Katich helped himself with a handsome $387 gain. Hayden followed up to his record breaking earnings with a more subdued gain of $241.
But the Market welcomed the high earnings reported from Price ($280) up 38%, Carlisle ($283) up 33% & Blignaut up 22%. This provided the investors significant boost to their portfolio, as the values were heavily discounted at the IPO due to the fact that they were facing Australia in Australia.
On the downside was Ewing, who lost -$18.
As always, Gilchrist gained $250, helped maintain his Long strategy, while Lee($46), Martyn($52) and Langer($7) might not expect heavy buying interests at the next trading market.
Kiwi earnings make headline news as Richardson leads the bulls with a 37% gain ($305), as match end in a draw!
Supporting the bull market were Tuffey ($245), Styris ($239), Vincent ($206) & McMillan ($200), dominated the earnings season against the blue chip Indian stocks.
The Indian earnings was dependent on Laxman, who gained $296, while Sehwag helped his cause with a $231 gain.
Investors caught on the wrong side of the market were stuck with Zaheer Khan (-$40), Balaji (-$26) & Wiseman (-$10).
It's interesting to note that blue chip stock of Sachin Tendulkar has failed to live up to it's heavy price tag of $1200, gaining only $116 for the entire earning season. This might also put downward pressure on the IPO market to devalue his IPO price below the $1200 mark for the first time ever.
