March 31, 2000
Pakistan 263 for 6 wickets in 50 overs
South Africa 247 all out in 49 overs

Pakistan winning the toss, elected to bat first and the results paid rich dividends as the opening pair of Imran Nazir and Shahid Afridi put on 121 for the first wicket. After a minor hiccup, when the lost 3 wickets for the addition of 16 runs, they consolidated their innings further with a solid partnership between Inzamam and Yousouf, scoring 53 and 23 respectively to take Pakistan to a healthy total.

Lance Kluesner was the pick of the Protas bowling with the figures of 2 for 17 runs in 10 overs

South Africa were soon in trouble when the lost 2 early wickets for 30runs when Cronje took charge and scored a quick 79 in 73 balls to keep South Africa in the hunt. But Waqar’s burst of 2 wickets in 2 balls of Boje and Kluesner destroyed all the work done by the captain and lost by 16 runs with 1 over to spare. Mark Boucher again had a great match scoring 53 and also making good on a stumping chance.

Pakistan won the toss against South Africa and decided to bat first. Trouble starts early as they lose their first wicket without a run on the board. Yousuf Youhanna's knock of 65 proved crucial as he helped Pakistan reach a modest total of 168. Youhanna's value went up by $90 for his performance, where as Captain Moin Khan scored another 0, to earn -$10. None of the other Pakistan batsmen made significant gains during the first session.

Klusner again saw his value increase by $60 while Boucher once again had a good day, rising $80 during the first session.

Pakistan bowlers claimed honors during the 2nd session with a fiery display of pace bowling, with speedster Shoaib Akhtar taking 3 wickets, while Waqar continued to have a good run with another 2 wicket haul. Only South African batsman to resist the Pak attack was Gibbs who scored 59.

India 164 all out in 48.5 Overs
by 6 wickets

India struggles once again to be all out for 164 in 48.5 overs.

After being in a reasonable situation at 80 for 1, India loses 3 quick wickets to be at 93 for 4 wickets and never recovered from that point. Hence for the second straight day, none of the Indian players failed to make any major contributions to their dreamcricket captains except Prasad $41and Ganguly earning $46. On the other hand, the Protas performed well as a team.

Biggest mover for the day was Hayward with his four wicket burst moving his value up by $140, while Boucher grabbed 3 catches earning $120. On the batting side Kallis was the only mover of note with $78.

With this win, South Africa is assured of a place in the finals!!!

India 174 for 9 Wickets in 50 Overs
by 98 runs

Inzamam-ul-Haq after laying dormant last couple of matches, saw his value suddenly spike up 20% or by $221with his explosive knock of 121 runs in 114 balls, thus surpassing Lance Kluesener as the highest one day $ gain in the tournament, who had added $205 against Pakistan in Match 3. Waquar Younis continued the surge with a remarkable performance of 5 for 31 matching Inzamam with a huge gain of $220.

Yousuf Youhana sustained the momentum by earning a nifty n the $81 and Younis Khan added a valuable $54 to his previous value. Moin Khan had a captain's day behind the stumps taking 4 catches, helping his value rise by $210.

Kumble's stock rose by $59 for his performance. On then downside Prasad lost -$10, while the rest of the team's performance was below expectations.

With today's win, Pakistan stays alive in the tournament and gives dreamcricket captains hope!

Pakistan 196 for 8 in 50 overs
by 3 wickets

Pakistan reached a modest 196 in their allotted 50 overs after having won the toss and electing to bat. This was due to another middle order collapse.

Yonis Khan and Imran Nazir led the Pakistan batting, with Imran earning a hefty $96 with Younis Khan earned $48 for his efforts.

Captain Moin Khan earned the dubious -$10 for his 1st ball duck, but reprieved himself with 2 catches to bring his value for the match to $50. Alas, his counterpart Cronje earns -$10 for his bowling performance, but failed to perform with the bat, making his final value for the match at $4.

But the pick of the day was Lance Klusener picking up 5 wickets for 47 runs earning the highest fantasy value to date with a whopping $200, but failed to increase his value with the bat only scoring 5, thus bringing his value to $205.

March 23, 2000
India 149 for 5 wickets in 43.3 overs
Pakistan all out for 146 in 45.3 overs

Pakistan started on the wrong foot losing a wicket in the 7th ball of the match and never got going reaching 146 all out in 45.3 overs. Imaran Nazir added $43 & Inzamam-ul-Haq had $41 to bring some respect to the final total.

Indian bowling was at it's best with Joshi coming on top with $80. Prasad & Kumble earned $60 each, while Sachin gets a -$10.

India batted cautiously with Azhar leading the way with a fine $74 performance. Ganguly and Dravid chipped in with $25 & $26 respectively. Sachin scored $11 to bring his match earnings to $1.

Waqar bowled well, but failed to earn any fantasy value while Younis Khan earns $40 for his work on the field.

India 164 All Out in45.2 Overs

India batting first reaches a respectable 164 all out in 45.0 overs after struggling at 102 for 9, thanks largely to a spirited last wicket partnership between Srinath & Jadeja. While S Karim earns -$10

Pick of the Protas were Elworthy with $80 & Nitini with $60. Kallis and Boje earn $40 and Klusener had the dubious -$10

Kirsten and Gibbs gave India all the trouble they can handle as they comfortable reached the modest Indian total with 20.4 overs to spare without losing a wicket. Gibbs earns a hefty $132 & Kirsten chips in with $96 to complete the South Africa route.

None of the Indian bowler had any kind of success as all bowlers get a -$10
