Nashville Cricket Association Captain Srimanth Brindavanam has been named GASCL Cricketer Of The Week after he helped his side to a remarkable win against UBACC on Sunday.
He played an impressive inning at Mark Trail rescuing his team from 14-4, to pilot NCA to 118 all out. He hit 60, with seven fours and two sixes to almost single-handedly keep them in the game as no other batsman reached double figures.
Brindavanam then returned with the new ball to have UBACC desperately trying fight off a good spell of seam bowling as he cuts through the opposition batting like hot butter. At one stage UBACC were wobbling at 58-8 and eventually fold 4 runs short at 114. Brindavanam with figures of 8-1-32-6. to capped an impressive all-round performance to squeak out a narrow victory.
Other contenders in an entertaining week of cricket included Al Givance of Tropical 100 * , Howard Wade of MCC 107 retired Hurt, and Conrad Hunte’s Captain Eyon Bourne with 106* to guide his team to victory
