Top teams from Greater New York area register for DreamCricket Twenty20 in New Jersey

With one day remaining for the submission of initial registrations, seven teams have already confirmed their participation in the New Jersey Twenty20 tournament organized by DreamCricket.com.

These include some of the top teams from New Jersey and All-Star teams from Philadelphia and New York.

"We have sent out registration forms to another ten teams that have expressed interest including an all-star team from Connecticut. As the teams complete all of their registration formalities, we will begin announcing the twelve teams," Ms. Kranthi Bayya, CEO of DreamCricket said today. Initial registration must be submitted by September 10th and all registration formalities must be completed by September 15th.

Ms. Bayya added, "The response from players and sponsors has been unbelievable. We are also extremely grateful to the cricketers from the Tri-State area for being supportive of our efforts to create a competition of this magnitude here."

Commenting on teams that have invited professional cricketers, Ms. Bayya said "We are aware of the teams that have invited international stars. We are optimistic that all of our efforts will be rewarded and we will experience some amazing action."

Announcing the first three sponsors, Ms. Bayya said, "We are extremely thankful to TechnoPrism, Stuart Sport and Murtha Cullina LLP, who have confirmed their support of the tournament. Other sponsors, including a title sponsor and equipment sponsor will be announced soon."

Ms. Bayya said that EBC Radio 1170AM was the official radio partner. "DreamCricket.com will provide live updates via a tournament website and we will also provide regular updates via EBC Radio. Arrangements are also being made for TV highlights coverage and half-time entertainment for the final."

In addition to $5,000 for the winner and $2,000 for runner-up, each of the losing semi-finalists will get $500 each and a 10 hour member pass to DreamCricket Indoor Nets (worth $400). In effect, each of the four semi-finalists will win prizes. Prizes will be awarded to the tournament MVP and Man of the Match award winners.
