Eye-catching resumes but invisible on the field - A look at the premier umpires' panel for Radiant Info USA Twenty20

The Radiant Info USA Twenty20 2009 cricket tournament will feature some of the best, if not the best, umpires in all of USA.

These umpires have been appointed from a pool of elite umpires, all of whom are members of the USA Cricket Umpires' Association (USACUA). Having made the need for the tournament to be played in accordance with the laws and spirit of cricket one of his biggest focus areas for this year's event, Tournament Commissioner, Gokul Chakravarthy set his sights on the most qualified, respected and consistent umpires in the USA to get the job done. It doesn't hurt that Chakravarthy himself is one of the more respected umpires in the USA, with a full qualification from the West Indies Cricket Umpires Association, the USACUA as well as the England & Wales Cricket Board's Association of Cricket Officials (ECBACO).

This list includes some of the best in the land, as evidenced by the presence of at least one USA “Hall of Fame” umpire, four ICC-approved umpires and two previously ICC-appointed umpires. These umpires shall be clad in customized black uniform to improve the visibility for the batsmen, considering the use of white balls.
