New Jersey, August 4, 2010

DreamCricket.com announced today that the third edition of the Radiant Info T20 Tournament will be held over the Labor Day weekend - September 4th thru September 6th in New Jersey.

Talking about the 2010 edition of Radiant Info T20, Kranthi Bayya, CEO of DreamCricket.com said, "We have heard several people say that the Twenty20 format offers the best chance for cricket to get a foothold in USA.  Only a few have actually backed that talk with action and our tournament is one such attempt."

Over the last two years, DreamCricket.com has proven that a well organized Twenty20 tournament can attract talented players, draw spectators and ignite the interest of sponsors in the United States.

"The success of our tournament is mainly due to the support of our title sponsor - Radiant Info - who shares our vision for the future of cricket in USA."

Several of the tournament's past participants have played for USA.  That list includes Barrington Bartley, Akeem Dodson, Siddharth Mehta, Saurabh Verma and Aditya Mishra.  The tournament attracted several overseas players including Sadagopan Ramesh, who played for India, Neil McGarrell, a former West Indies cricketer, and Nikolai Charles who plays for Barbados.   In addition to talented cricketers, the 2009 edition of the tournament also drew some very special guests - Deputy Speaker of NJ Assembly, Mr. Upendra Chivukula bowled the ceremonial pitch.  And former Indian Test cricketer Mr. Balwinder Singh Sandhu of India was the guest of honor at a banquet for the players hosted by Demerera Distillers, the makers of El Dorado rum.

Ms. Bayya said that she expected the 2010 edition will kick things up a notch.  "We are working with the teams to ensure that USA's most talented upcoming cricketers, especially American-born, get a chance to showcase their talent.   If you have played representative cricket at U-19 or senior levels for the region or for USA, we will try to accommodate you in a team."

"Teams must play two U-19 players in each match and are allowed two overseas players," Ms. Bayya added.  Team registration will be done in a consultative manner with key individuals to ensure quality of each team.  Representative teams from New England, New York, New Jersey, Washington DC, Philadelphia and Rest of USA will take part in this city-oriented tournament.

Speaking about on-ground improvements, Ms. Bayya said:  "In 2009, every match featured live scoring, Impact Index tracking,  D/L computation, continuous boundaries in addition to cone markers, and we also ensured two on-field umpires and a third umpire for every match.  Further innovations and improvements are planned for this year's tournament including the possible use of pink balls and use of bowling speed-guns."

From a media perspective, the 2009 event received unprecedented coverage.  India's leading news channels TimesNow and NDTV featured the tournament as part of a special program on USA cricket.   Regional channels TV9 and MAA covered the tournament as part of their daily news broadcasts.   US based TV Asia carried highlights of the event.   And EBC 1170 AM carried live commentary of the matches with in-studio and on-ground commentary teams.   Several newspapers carried articles about the tournament and an event specific website (www.RadiantInfoT20.com) carried daily news updates and live scores.  Similar coverage is anticipated for this year's tournament.

This year's champions will take home $5,000 and the runners-up will get $2,500.  Prizes will be offered to the losing semi-finalists and to performers in the various skill categories of the sport.  Prizes and giveaways valued at $40,000 - including cash and Reebok equipment - have been given away in the two years of the tournament's existence.

DreamCricket.com is actively seeking sponsors at the event-level and is also looking for team sponsors.   "We are grateful to all of our sponsors who supported us over the years and we hope that they will return this year,"  Ms. Bayya said.

A range of sponsors have supported the tournament in its first two years including Radiant Info, Reebok, NuWare, Headstrong, NSI, TechnoPrism, Collabera, Ceera Investments, Strategic Oxygen (Forrester Research), Papoo's, Paradise Biryani Pointe, Creatigies, Margaret W. Wong & Associates, Royal Albert's Palace, Demerera Distillers (El Dorado Rum), EBC, Citibank, Smith Barney, Murtha Cullina and Bedessee Sporting Goods.
