Former USA allrounder Hayden Walsh Jr comes on to the podcast to share his journey from fringe player in the Leeward Islands and Barbados first-class setups, to immediate star for USA upon making his debut in November 2018 on the way to helping lead USA to ODI status in April 2019, to 2019 CPL Player of the Tournament for the title-winning Barbados Tridents, and eventually a West Indies call-up. Walsh Jr discusses the frosty reception he initially received from USA followers on social media when he was first named in a USA squad, how he won them over with his on-field play, the contrasting rigors of first-class West Indies regional cricket vs. Associate cricket for USA, and also goes into detail about his abrupt departure from the USA national team after rejecting a central contract offer in the summer of 2019.
