This tournament seems like a watershed moment for this team. Not just in what they are building on the field, but in the way they are going about things.
There was no rest today for the USACricket mens team on their day off. Firstly they took to the gym for a tough 1.5 hour session directed by physio David Craig and head coach Pubudu Dassanayake.
Then the entire squad, including support staff headed into nearby Raleigh to help with a hurricane Florence relief effort named ‘Operation Airdrop’. The team helped sort boxes of clothing, food, and first-aid donations, and then load trucks bound for flood affected areas in North Carolina.

A few members of the squad then headed back to Morrisville to host a coaching session with a bunch of young cricketers to say thanks for all the support they’ve had from the local cricket community throughout the last week or so.
This tournament seems like a watershed moment for this team. Not just in what they are building on the field, but in the way they are going about things. They are earning respect both on and off the field, and you get the feeling the results will follow.
