Game 2 of the Global T20 Sees a Good Possibilty of a Couple of US Players Getting a Run
Match 1 of the GT20 was a high scoring thriller, and with the same pitch being used today we can expect much of the same.
Both sides are packed with big name power, such that it might be tough for any of the Canadians or three US representative players featuring in today's squads to get a run.
I do suspect that #TeamUSA quick bowler Ali Khan could make the starting lineup for the Hawks, whilst much of the interest for the Winnepeg based franchise will focus on the return of one David Warner to the cricket field. Canadian Hamza Tariq will almost certainly feature in the starting side as the only specialist keeper in the squad, whilst hard hitting veteran Rizwan Cheema may also get the nod from coach Waqar Younis. Kyle Philip, the up and coming fast bowler from Florida, is an outside chance of making the side, but my gut tells me he'll have to wait until later in the tournament.
I struggle to see any North Americans getting a chance for the Montreal team today, with Nepals favorite son Sandeep Lamichhane likely to be the only Associate player featuring for the Tigers. #TeamUSA skipper Ibrahim Khaleel might have to bide his time with Dinesh Ramdin a certainty to hold down the wicketkeeper/batsman position unless injury strikes.
What ever the makeup of the sides we are certain to witnes some fireworks!
