Update: CCA U-11 tour of Los Angeles

A team of twelve children under 11 years of age (half of whom are under 10) will be representing Cupertino's California Cricket Academy (CCA) and touring Los Angeles County on March 20-21, 2010.

A team of twelve children under 11 years of age (half of whom are under 10) will be representing Cupertino’s California Cricket Academy (CCA) and touring Los Angeles County on March 20-21, 2010. They will be playing three games with a hard cricket ball on a turf wicket in Fontana, California with under-11 players from Tri County Youth Cricket Academy (Located in Buena Park and Irvine-Southern CA).

The CCA U11 team will be accompanied by a Level-1 certified Coach Sukalpa Biswas. The team players are: Ajit Vijayakumar, Maulin Vajir, Mohak Buch, Sahil Altekar, Samet Ghirnikar, Shankara Srikantan, Shopnavo Biswas, Sharan Chakravarthy, Shashank Dholakia,  Shishir Dholakia, Srivatsan Tennathur and Vatsal Bhatt. Team manager is Srikantan Nagarajan. 

They will play a 25 over game on March 20th followed by a 12 over match, and on the following day they will play a 20-20 game.

“CCA is starting their 2010 season with three major events. U-11 tour to Southern California to play on turf wickets, hosting Atlanta Academy's U-16 team first week of April and starting their 2010 training session with internationally recognized level 2 coach from National cricket academy of India Mr. Shyam Oak from end of March”, says Ajay Athavale, President of California Cricket academy a premier youth league based in Cupertino, California.

On behalf of Western regional board, I like to wish both CCA and Tri County teams good luck for this tour”, says Hemant Buch, Chairman of the USACA Western region.
