Sanspareils Greenlands (SG), world's largest manufacturer of cricket equipment and India's leading cricket brand, has signed on as the equipment sponsor for the forthcoming National Youth Cricket League Tournament to be held in Dallas, TX, between July 4 and 8, 2014.

Thirty six games will be held over a four-day period, with 18 teams participating across three age categories, making it the largest youth tournament in recent times.

In a written statement, Trilok Nath Anand, Director of SG Cricket wrote: "I am very pleased to hear of the initiative for organizing the NYCL Youth Tournament.  I take this opportunity of wishing the tournament every success."

SG Cricket will provide tournament balls and prizes for the MVPs in each age category.   "I am happy to see a large open format tournament being organized for kids.  This is definitely an important milestone," Chub Bedessee, President of Bedessee Sporting Goods, USA's largest distributor and importer, said.  Bedessee Sporting Goods, which is the distributor for SG Cricket, facilitated the sponsorship.

Dallas Youth Cricket League, supported by its parent organization Dallas Cricket League, is the host league for this inaugural tournament. The league has secured permits for the Russell Creek Park, a very large cricket facility in Plano featuring seven cricket grounds in one location.

Thanking SG Cricket for its sponsorship, Jagannath Poosarla, the Tournament Commissioner, said: "Next generation of American cricketers are all expected to be here in Texas next weekend. The eighteen teams represent some of the best cricketing talent in the country. SG's sponsorship is an important endorsement of the future of American cricket."

Priya Singh of the NYCL, said: "Having the opportunity to be involved alongside Gopal Samant in the planning and coordination of this inaugural youth cricket tournament has been a huge learning experiance. I made lots of new friends and I am sure this is just the beginning of growth of youth cricket in United States. I would like to thank SG for their sponsorship and support."
