The National Youth Cricket League (NYCL), a collaborative tournament with youth cricket programs and academies participating from across the country, announced that its second annual tournament will be held in four age groups and in two locations this year.
The NYCL, which aims to create regular and structured interactions for youth cricket, has 22 participating academies and programs. NYCL conducted a successful inaugural tournament for Under-12, Under-14 and Under-16 age groups in Dallas in 2014. The 18-team 2014 tournament was ably hosted by the Dallas Youth Cricket League over the July 4 long weekend last year.
For 2015, the tournament has nearly doubled in size and will be held in two locations and also feature a new U10 age-group.
The Under-10 and Under-14 age group tournaments will be held in St. Louis, Missouri, between July 2nd and 5th. These will be hosted by Missouri Youth Cricket Association. The Under-12 and Under-16 age-group tournaments will be held between July 9th and July 12th in Raleigh, North Carolina and hosted by the Triangle Cricket League.
"The tournament was the largest pan-US youth cricket tournament last year and the second edition is even bigger than the last one. Thirty two teams from 13 different youth programs have already confirmed their participation," Priya Singh noted in an emailed statement confirming that the U12, U14 and U16 registrations were completed.

Indian cricket equipment manufacturer SG Cricket has confirmed its intent to become the tournament's equipment sponsor for the second year running. The organizers are actively engaged with other corporate sponsors and donors.
